Book Review
This is one of the most comprehensive theory books I have read. It is not classical theory but it is a comprehensive treatment of jazz theory. Yes, jazz theory is different than the harmony taught by Fux and Rameau.
Those of us that have spent time in classical undergrad harmony and counterpoint classes will require a little rethinking when reading the text. But it is well worth the effort. Do not plan on a quick read through. It is very comprehensive. You can buy a print or Kindle version of the book on Amazon here.
